My 17M cousin was dating 15F and my aunt tried to make her get an abortion

This is so hard for me to type as it’s very sensitive topic for my family. I don’t know if anyone believes me as it seems like something straight out of a movie but I’ll share it with you as it’s currently unfolding.<br><br>So my 17 year old cousin is the result of a one night stand. He’s mixed race black and white whereas the rest of my family is caucasian. I love him to death as he’s like a little brother to me and my sister and we’ll never treat him any differently than our other cousins. <br><br>Anyway, he was dating this 15 year old girl from his school for a few weeks and my aunt found out about the relationship and flipped. She didn’t want him dating at all as it would make him “look bad” but now she was extra upset as she thought this girl was after money. The girl’s family is pretty well off but they aren’t as wealthy as my aunt.<br><br>After a few days of yelling at him about how she didn’t want them together, she received a call from the girl’s mother saying that her daughter was pregnant. My aunt offered to pay for an abortion and the girl’s mother agreed. I don’t know all the details but supposedly the girl was saying she wanted to keep the baby. She might have been saying this as a way to get money or she might have actually wanted to keep the baby, I don’t know. <br><br>My aunt went all out to make sure this girl got an abortion. Moving them into a different house, giving them a credit card to buy designer clothes, paying for all their food, etc. She even offered to pay for them to go to college if they got an abortion. My uncle went along with it and they both told my cousin that if he got the girl pregnant they’d cut him off. <br><br>Then somehow the girl’s mother discovered my aunt’s net worth. It went from them being offered a few thousand dollars to them being bought a new house and given a million dollars. My aunt was so happy that the girl agreed to an abortion. The day after, my cousin found out what was going on and freaked out. He begged his parents to let the girl keep the baby and they told him to grow up and stop being stupid. <br><br>A few days later, it was revealed the girl was never pregnant and the whole thing was a scheme. My aunt and uncle lost everything as the girl’s mother had them write the million dollar check out to her and they cashed it before my aunt could get it back. They might go bankrupt as they don’t have the money to pay her back. <br><br>This whole thing makes me so sick. I know the girl and her mother were in the wrong but my aunt and uncle had no right to try to make a 15 year old get an abortion.
