Is AI beneficial for us?

I'm glad to ask this question here. I'm not sure if I'm right in this case. I've been using AI for a few years, and I have to admit that it has been a great help to me so far. What I'm not sure about is whether this technology is beneficial for our society as well or not. I've heard many conflicting arguments, but I'm not sure which one is correct. Can anyone tell me about it?
