Apparently I've been mislead about how relationships worked. My mothers had been a traditional stay at home mom, my dad always called the shots, they never argued, and they were always happy. So I grew up always wanting that in a relationship. I would never want a career, earning little money is fine for me as I'm happy just staying home.

I think it was a couple of days ago I saw a video of a parent telling their teenage daughter how she needed to drop out of school and learn how to be a housewife for her future husband. Now I think it was an Asian family, but I still don't get why some parents still want this and force this onto their children. I don't want to be a housewife for my future husband, I want to be a housewife for myself.

I don't want to be somebody who's married and is expected to do all the housework because I'm a woman, I want to be a housewife because I like doing it. I want to be able to clean the house freely, cook what I want when I want, and work a little part time job to earn my own money. I don't want to be some slaving housewife who's only job is to do what the husband says.

I think you get what I mean? I want to be a housewife for myself, not for some man or husband.

Edit: To people asking, yes I want to be a single parent. I plan to do this by having a donor.
