I'm a pizza guy and I got held up and kidnapped and threatened at gun point. My only hope was this woman and I will never forget her face and I never got to thank her.

I don't know if I believe in a god but sometimes I think about how the world works and I have to wonder if there's a lot of random coincidence or if theres a lot more going on than this physical world and theres a system in place that needs balance and the universe puts us where we are supposed to be when it needs to. What I mean by that is I work as pizza delivery driver. <br><br>I'm currently living and working in Nebraska, Omaha. I have been a pizza delivery driver for years and this was my last job I worked at. I still work as a pizza delivery driver for a different pizza place. <br><br>I have never seen anything like this happen before. On this night I had gotten this delivery a little after midnight on a Saturday I think. I'm sure that there are a lot of pizza places that also give out descriptions of the car and the driver. Sometimes they'll also give descriptions of the driver.<br><br>"Hot and fresh" for x amount of dollars. Make sure to tip your driver. You can tip with card or cash. The car is the make, color, and license plate number. The driver is a male wearing a red shirt with "name here and there will be descriptions of the driver such as tattoos and hair color, eye color, height, weight, race.<br><br>Usually most pizzas I get descriptions on are orders that are placed by credit card. You can order online but you can also call in to place an order for delivery. Some customers will call in and pay with a card over the phone and they can request a description of the driver. <br><br>I had gotten this order and had gotten the description of the driver. The only thing I remember is that I had tattoos on my arms. I'm 6 foot tall, 190 pounds with blue eyes and short blonde hair. I work out and have a muscular build so someone might be able to guess part of my description just by the car I drive and the fact that Im a pizza delivery driver. Im sure there are plenty of pizza delivery drivers with tats. <br><br>Anyways, I work third shift which is usually 7pm-3am. I had gotten this order and it was a card order. I remember when I pulled up to the house there was a guy standing on the sidewalk across the street from the house I was at. He was smoking a cigarette and looked at me and then walked away. I remember thinking it was weird but also thought maybe he was waiting for someone or someone was waiting for him.<br><br>I walked up to the door and the woman answered and I said here is your pizza. I always try to make eye contact. She made eye contact with me for just a second but also kept looking at something behind me. I remember thinking it was weird but she paid me and took the pizza and it seemed like she was in a hurry. I didn't think about it again and walked back to my car and left.<br><br>I went back to the store and shortly after I got back there was another driver that a few minutes after I got back told me that he had gotten a call from the Police. He said that he had gotten a description for a guy with blonde hair and tattoos. He said he wasn't working tonight so of course he didn't answer and called our store and told them what happened. <br><br>Of course when he told me I immediately put two and two together. I thought man that is so crazy that someone would do something like that and scam someone into thinking a pizza guy is coming to hurt them. I didn't think anything of it and figured maybe the cops caught someone and the woman was worried about some guy breaking in or something. I didn't think that was me until one of my coworkers told me a story.<br><br>She used to work in this area as well and someone called the pizza place she worked for and claimed to be the police and told them that there was a retail theft suspect that matched the description of one of the drivers. They called the driver and told him that the cops were looking for him. <br><br>Of course this driver didn't answer the phone call because he wasn't doing anything wrong but this was a delivery he was on that night. He had dropped the pizzas off and left but before he left he had dropped the pizzas off with the woman at the door and the man had answered the door and took the pizzas. <br><br>My coworker said that this driver went on with the rest of his night and didn't think much of it. He didn't even think much about it until the woman and her daughter were shot and killed by her ex husband. Their bodies had been found in a ditch a few days later. <br><br>I immediately put two and two together when I had heard this story and realized what had happened. I think that a man had the gun, probably following my description of the pizza driver and was waiting for a pizza guy to show up. I believe that the woman knew that I wasn't the guy they were looking for because she made eye contact with me but kept looking behind me at the man with the gun. <br><br>I think she was scared to death and she knew if she called the cops or didn't let the guy in he would shoot her and if a pizza guy showed up at the door then he would shoot the pizza guy as well and she made the decision to let me leave. I could have been dead that night but somehow I got this woman to let me leave by myself and I was able to go on about my night. <br><br>I don't know if I believe in a god but for some reason the universe put me in place to let myself live and for the man to get caught. I will never forget that woman and I also can't thank her because I don't know who she is. I just know how grateful I am to be here on this planet and how much I appreciate life and I always remember that story. I hope that the woman and her daughter are at peace.
