Why there’s no good reason to have puppies

Hey guys, sorry to ruin the mood, but I would like to explain why there’s really no reason to get a purebred puppy from a good breeder as I’d love to when I’m older.
As you well know, I have a really hard time even thinking about adopting, I’d really love to have a puppy, preferably to start a breeding program. However, I realized that it takes a huge toll on the environment.
First, the original creator of every dog breed was a wolf. Humans took a lot of time and effort to create dogs as we know them today. I don’t think any one of us wants the wolf to disappear yet, when they already are endangered.
As you know, a pregnant dog has a much stronger carbon footprint than a male dog. The fact that we, humans, create so much waste from litters of puppies that we aren’t even reproducing anymore is a total shame. What I realized is even a dog with very good bloodlines, AND that has all the good health tests will probably never be a great puppy because of the initial damage that humans have done, creating dogs in the first place.

Of course, I’m not saying that any one of you wants the wolf to disappear or that dogs are a shame, I just feel sad knowing that I’ll get a dog even if I realize it takes a toll on the environment.
This is a very sad time for me, and a lot of the information I read has to do with dogs and wolves and is very sad, so it’s making me feel even more conflicted.
I kinda want to get a purebred dog because I want to honor the bloodlines and the working function that they were created for, but I don’t want to cause more damage to the environment.
Idk, I wanted to get this off my chest, I’m sorry if it’s too long and makes you sad too.

Thanks for listening!
