I flew over the Great Barrier Reef and saw how small the amount of bleaching actually was

I am from Germany and live in the United States. I just flew back to Germany with a route that is kind of similar to the route Magellan took (SANTIAGO -> SYDNEY -> SINGAPORE -> DUBAI -> MUNICH). In fact, my path followed Magellan's East Asian discovery for the first three flights. I flew over the Great Barrier Reef, which was a neat sight to see, but I was disappointed to see how little the 'Great Barrier Reef' actually was in reality (kind of like Mount Everest is just kind of a tall mountain in a vast expanse of mountains).
