If you see a guy in a yellow hard hat and black tactical gear, don't shoot at random cops.

Hey guys,<br><br>I work in construction and I've been reading a lot about the protests in Louisville and how police are sending out guys in plain clothes to attempt to cause violence. I am genuinely afraid that if I'm on a job and a protest erupts, a stray bullet is going to travel through a wall or something and kill me. I've been to several protests, I've never advocated violence, I just want to bring attention to causes that I care about.<br><br>I am pro-gun, literally own two, I believe it is my constitutional right as an American to own a firearm. I will probably never own an "assault rifle" but I think anyone who wants to own one should be able to. I carry at work every day, but I have never pointed my gun at a person and I don't want to have to in the near future. I am not a cop. I don't want to be mistaken for one. <br><br>I have been a union carpenter for 8 years and I have worked all over the USA as a traveling apprentice, and have worked in almost every possible working environment you can imagine. If I am wearing a yellow hard hat and black tactical vest, especially if I'm on a rooftop or scaffolding, I am a construction worker. My vest is to protect me from the elements. I have worked in -40 degree weather in northern Montana and I would have liked all the extra padding I could get. To clarify again, I AM NOT A COP. I don't want to get shot for doing my job. I don't want to get mistaken for a cop doing their job. <br><br>I may remove this post if I get any backlash, but I don't want to die at work for no reason. Please spread awareness for this and tell people not to shoot random people in yellow hard hats.
