What is the justification for the belief that reason can be trusted to find out objective truths about the world?

I know this is a very basic question in philosophy, but I'm a bit lost about this Fichier. I understand why empiricism can't be justified because it depends on reason, same thing for rationalism. So how do we know that reason or our cognitive faculties can be trusted at all?

Thanks for your answer.
