CMV: The USA is the only country in the world that brags about its accomplishments

I am a Canadian and have also lived overseas. When I speak to people from other countries I find that they are always very humble to the point of downplaying a lot of their achievements. For example, I was on a bus in Norway and I asked the bus driver what paid holidays he gets in the year. He told me he receives 5 weeks paid and he is a bus driver! When I told him that in the US people are fighting for 2 weeks of paid holidays he was shocked. I have seen this sort of reaction across the board from Europeans.

I am not saying that US citizens should not bragg because I think they should be proud of a lot of the things they have accomplished and I think it's great when someone is proud of something they have worked hard for. I just feel that the US as a country is the only one that brags about its accomplishments. I also think that Americans do not really care about the well-being of their fellow citizens.

EDIT: I see this is being downvoted so I will rephrase. When I say that the US brags I am referring to the government/ politicians and not regular people. Every time I see a politician make a speech all they talk about is how great the US is and that they are better than everyone else. This is what I mean.

EDIT 2: I also want to clarify that I believe that US citizens should be proud of what they have accomplished as they have worked hard for it and they should be happy with what they have achieved. I think that everyone should be proud of their accomplishments and country. I also believe that the well-being of all citizens in a country is just as important as the success of the country. The entire country should be judged on how it treats its lowest classes and not just its upper and middle classes.
