Why do normies feel the need to be “friends” with me?

A normie girl/guy will come up to me, talk to me for a bit, I’m thinking “oh… maybe today is different maybe I’ll finally make a friend.” Then they switch subjects to their boy/girlfriend, how much they have sex, their tremendous social calendar, etc…. why can’t they just leave me alone to build my stature in peace….
