I'd love to hear your thoughts on what an ethical AI research environment is.

All of the major AI research institutions are not ethical because they are thinly veiled attack formations created by transnationals that seek to evade any responsibility for the effects of these weapons.

This is effectively confirmed by the fact that the "responsible AI" people currently spend their time drafting watered down regulations that continue to shift the overwhelming burden of risk onto the victims of AI, while also quietly working with the transnationals to ensure that the regulatory system has minimal teeth.

The "ethics" teams also quietly work with the transnationals to establish the narrative that the AI research institutions are somehow independent and not instruments of the transnationals, and to obscure the fact that the transnational corporations are determined to force these weapons onto civilians without any real regulation or oversight.

What do you think is an ethical AI research environment?
