I went on 4chan to make fun of the losers who live there, only to find myself agreeing with them.

Like many people I consider myself a "moderate" who is fed up with politics and I don't really like either side. I'm nowhere near the point of being a "single issue voter" but the parties keep becoming more extreme, and I'm no longer able to say the "I'll just vote for the party that is slightly less crazy." I heard a lot of stuff about 4chan from my friends so I decided to look at it. I want to start by saying that yes, they are a bunch of assholes and racists, but the more I read their shit, the more I started to agree with them. I'm a pretty regular guy with regular guy political beliefs, but because I don't hate conservatives I'm considered a fascist on other social media platforms. It seems like the only thing that people on Facebook and Twitter care about is the next presidential election, and how we NEED TO GET ORANGE MAN OUT. They won't talk about anything else and will shut you down if you try to. I don't think that the next presidential election should be the only thing we care about, and I can't stress that enough. A lot of the people in the Biden threads on Taylor Moore's page are fucking psychopaths. They want to send conservatives to concentration camps and give each other high fives for it. I don't want to be associated with people like that. On 4chan however, they don't care about the next presidential election. When I look at their politics board, most of the threads are about local issues; what a lack of affordable housing is doing to their city, new zoning laws that are being passed and the impact it will have, shit like that. Yes, they tend to be conservative, but I'm not a fucking neuter leftoid who will ignore someone just because they don't agree with me politically. I get that the owner of this sub probably has a history with the site that will make it impossible for him to see them objectively, but I don't think that passing them off as "neo-Nazi assholes" is fair. Okay, I'll stop rambling and get to the point, but what I'm trying to say is that I don't think you should dismiss people just because of where they spend most of their time online.
