Political correctness is going too far. "Offending" someone should NOT be illegal in any way. It's just ridiculous.

I just read an article about a guy in the UK who was arrested for making a "racist" comment at a football (soccer) game. He called someone a name and was arrested and convicted. He's also being prosecuted for assault for "spitting" on this person. It was... a... "racial"... "slur". The article didn't say what it was because it's "Illegal" to print it. Can you imagine going to jail (the guy got a 30 day sentence) for calling someone a racial name? We're... a... "free" country... right? Anything short of "fighting words" should be protected by freedom of speech.

There are so many people going on social media saying things like "arrest him and throw away the key!" or "He should be shot!" and that kind of thing. We need to be protected from offensive language? I... just don't get that.
