My (23F) BF (22M) confessed to me that he’s lost weight intentionally to see if I’d notice and if I’d care?

Hello! So I’ve been with my mate since we were 19. He was my best friend, and he always made me feel super appreciated and beautiful. I’m a thicker girl btw. Apparently he intentionally would eat more during the time we’ve been together to gain some weight because he wanted to see how I’d react. I’m not sure about the details about why he did this, but he did confess that he tried harder to lose weight when we were in college together, and he started gaining again when we were more established in our adult lives. Apparently he wanted to see if I’d care about his weight loss. I was just honestly happy he stopped doing all the proteinshake diets ? he went down from 220 lbs to 180 lbs now. He’s really healthy and he’s got such a big smile on his face all the time now. But the main thing he wanted to see was if I would care about his weight loss. I’m flattered that he thinks about me so much that he intentionally gained weight to see if I’d notice. I mean I’ve always loved him at whatever size, and I still do. I’m a little embarrassed that I didn’t notice right away that he’s lost so much weight ? So he basically confessed to me that he intentionally wanted to see if I’d still love him and notice him even if he lost some weight. I kind of feel like it’s sweet? He told me that I’m probably the only girl that he’s dated that doesn’t care about his weight and he’s grateful for that. I feel like I should’ve noticed that he lost weight though. I mean it makes sense because he’s been doing such a good job of keeping himself happy and healthy. I’m just a big believer in listening to your body and doing what feels good for it. So, yeah. My bf intentionally gained weight and lost it to test me. I guess I hope someone out there can relate, but I feel weird that I’m the only girl that didn’t care about his weight. <br>TL;DR: My BF intentionally gained and lost weight over the years we’ve been dating to see if I’d care or notice. I just honestly want him to be happy ?
