My last time on this sub was 2021, when I first heard of catgirls. Back then, it was a niche topic that only the most autistic corners of the internet were aware of. Fast forward to today, and you see the catgirl aesthetic becoming a mainstream abomination. It seems like anime and everything related to it is becoming mainstream too, with the same abomination of "fan service" being lumped in.

Let's hope that after 2023, this catgirl bullshit will finally die down and fade away like any other fad. We're still a long way away from it dying down though, unfortunately.
