I just saw a video of a teacher getting beat up and I am seriously considing quitting

I’m a female teacher in my 30’s who is also a mother of a 2 year old. I saw a video on tiktok (Men disappointing women teachers part 1) where a male student who was around 6th grade punched a female teacher in the face. He had fists and the teacher literally went to the ground. My first thought was “where the hell are the bathroom monitors?” We have bathroom monitors at our school to prevent students from being in the restrooms smoking or getting beat up. We also have 3 police officers at our school and I just couldn’t believe that the teacher didn’t get any help. <br><br>I am so seriously considering quitting this profession. I’m a special education teacher and if there’s a possibility that my safety and the safety of my students with disabilities could be at risk, I can’t come back. We’ve had fights at my school before but this has never happened. I just don’t know what to do.
