Who else here is an upstanding member of society?

I am a nurse, regularly on service groups for my job, and have even taken on some volunteer work. I never stole in my teen years because growing up my mother always taught me it was to remain composed and dignified at all times. But I have started right at the cusp of my thirties taking things from stores. I wonder what leads people to shoplifting, who are upstanding people? What’s your day to day career? And why do you feel like you shoplift?
