My daughter came home today with a flyer for a protest against the new anti bullying law. I said "oh is it about fighting bullying?" Nope, it's against the law. She said, "I dont want to be bullied into being straight."

I took her to the school office to speak to the student advisor, and the vice principal, and the principal. They were super defensive, saying the other side is fighting to legalise bullying of queer kids.

I have had four of my daughters friends kill themselves in the last two years. She knew all of them, 2 of them were friends with her at school. I feel like I've just been punched in the gut. I feel guilty for not doing more earlier to prevent this. I could have gone to the school board meetings more, when they were voting on this. I have gone to some of them, but I didnt know what was happening before this came up.

There are a lot of people I love at this school. But I dont know what to do.
