Imagine Merlin Star Trek style

It was 5 years after the end of ww3 and barely 3 months after the Great Power Up. Merlin Starling was a man on a mission. He had managed to streamline the process of accepting Aetherite and he was ready to test it out on a large scale. <br><br>20,000 people were waiting in the newly built Arena, eagerly waiting for the historic moment to arrive. They had been told that the Aetherite process was new and might cause some unforeseen problems. Their rewards would be double that of the previous batches if they agreed to keep the experiment a secret. <br><br>Merlin stepped up to the podium, looking more like a Star Fleet Captain than a Wizard. With the flick of a wrist, the Aetherite began to pour down and the crowd erupted in cheers. <br><br>An hour later, Merlin was in full panic mode. The experiment had failed. 10,000 people had died in their attempt to imbue themselves with Aetherite. <br><br>He needed new test subjects.
