*goes off to work on grocery app idea - I'll be right back*

*notices postyourappideas*

Apps I'm working on:

1. Grocery shopping app: Scan a barcode and get a brief rundown of the ingredients (in English, no matter what country you're in). You can also add and subtract items from the list to isolate a specific ingredient to check for allergens.

Apps I've worked on:

1. Virtual Wardrobe: A closet inventory app for iOS that you can use to virtually mix and match clothing items to create outfits and create a wishlist of items you need to buy to create a wardrobe. It is based on the concept of a capsule wardrobe.

Apps that I've sketched in my notebook that I haven't worked on:

1. Am I High: An app that tells you if you should be high or not and how to get there if you are not. It can also aid in quitting if you wish. It calculates how many drinks you need based on your age, weight, height, time of day, hour, and other factors. It also tells you why your body is doing what it is while it is under the influence of alcohol.

2. Pub Crawl: An app that helps you plan and execute a pub crawl. It tells you the best order to go to each pub and how many drinks you need to have at each location to reach peak creepiness before moving on to the next pub.

3. Professor Bumblefuck: A virtual professor that teaches you how to make a cocktail. The virtual professor is a bit of a klutz and the app is a lot of fun although I never got around to finishing it.

4. Grain: An app that allows you to scan a barcode of a food item while grocery shopping and it will show you pictures of what the ingredients look like in different meals around the world. For example: scanning a box of rice would pull up photos of rice dishes from all over the world.

5. Snugly: A sleep aid app focused on ASMR. It is set up like a choose your own adventure game and allows you to navigate your way through different sounds and visualizations that will eventually put you to sleep. As you get further along in the game, the background noise changes to simulate different environments.

6. Grief in a Bottle: An app that helps you cope with a severe loss. It simulates the experience of packing your feelings into a bottle, setting it adrift, and watching it sail away. When you're ready, you can choose to open the bottle and revisit your feelings.

7. Boredom: A boredom killer app that randomly combines an activity (draw, write a poem, write a story, play a game) with an unrelated topic (submarines, dental hygiene, etc.) and then pairs that with a specific constraint (no letter "A"s, everything has to rhyme, use only your non-dominant hand, etc.)

8. Covid Snugly: A sleep aid app based on Snugly that is specifically designed for the pandemic. It simulates the feeling of your favorite coffee shop but instead of people, there are happy animals. There are different scenarios like the beach, the park, etc. and you can choose from a variety of different face coverings if that isn't your thing.

9. Fall: The app where you can fall in love with someone. The app will take you through a dating simulation game that takes a few minutes where you go on a date with someone and then at the end you get a text message from the person you went on the date with. You can choose to text back and your goal is to have a good conversation with them. There are different personalities and different conversations depending on the choices you make. If you succeed in having a good conversation, they'll send you their phone number and then you can begin a real relationship.

10. Flirt: An app that allows you to flirt with people in your area and around the world. It's a virtual scavenger hunt where you are on a virtual creep walk through a city and you go into coffee shops and bookstores and gyms and other locations to see what people are around you. Depending on how close you are to each other, you can communicate different levels of intimacy with each other.

Because I'm very sick of dating apps.
