It just slaps hard having to work for men 2x your age who have not worked for 2 decades

Never let anyone tell you that the system is fair. I just had a meeting where a senior leader from a nearby office( who hasn't worked since feb 2020) went around and asked what we needed for a new project. The 5 of us at the table who actually do all the work answered what we needed. 1.5 hours later, we were still getting feedback from him on how he thinks we should do it. He was literally just telling us how to do our jobs. <br><br>I've been working for this org for 2 years now, and there are 2 of us that actually do 90% of the work. The majority of men and women in my office are in their 50's who just sit at their desk and cash a check. And yes I'm aware that I can just quit, but it is a government job with excellent benefits.
