Do you believe advanced AI will be used for good?

I have an MA from a prestigious university in the fields of philosophy and classics. I have worked for Google, Microsoft, and other top tech companies as a data analyst. I'm married to a brilliant data analyst/scientist. I'm familiar with brilliant minds in the tech world. Despite everything, I don't think AI will be used for good, and I think humanity will destroy itself.<br><br>It seems like the only people who think AI will be used for good are professors at certain top universities with a vested interest in making huge profits from this tech. I think the rest of us will have little to no control over what happens, and the profit-driven will tell us how to live and what is acceptable. Are you optimistic about the future of AI and data analysis?
