Why do women get so angry when reference a woman’s menstrual cycle, but sometimes even go as far as to tell a grown man to “get his period”?

Title. When I’ve referenced a girl’s period (and mind you sometimes months after the argument has passed) the female has literally broken down and cried. Is it because they know they are inferior and that their menstrual cycle is the only thing that separates them from us and they don’t want to be reminded of it? Or is it because they know they can’t control us by using their menstrual cycle against us? (Essentially a woman will intentionally degrade a man by calling him a pussy, a b, or tell him to “get his period,” but don’t you dare mention HER period. What I’ve found is if you drop a “maybe you’re just being a bitch cause you’re on your period or something,” they will literally cry but will also spend the remainder of the conversation trying to convince you that’s not the case…which ironically validates my claim.
