Im a nurse practitioner in urgent care and my work has been crazy with this Covid surge.

My boyfriend works part time as a bus driver but he was off the past two weeks. He has a 5 year old daughter that is unvaccinated and she came down with Covid.

I babysit her when I’m not working so she doesn’t have to go to school. She was sick for 3 days so I had to babysit her as well even though I have to work the next day.

I told him I’m tired of babysitting her and it’s not fair to me. I need to rest after working a 12 hour shift and he gets to rest while I’m babysitting his daughter. He told me I never used to complain about babysitting her and I used to love her to death but now I seem resentful and bitter.

He told me I’m not in a good place if I’m behaving like this and treating his daughter like this and that I need to get therapy. I told him I’m resentful and bitter because I’m tired of babysitting his daughter and that’s my right to feel that way.

Is it fair of me to refuse to babysit his daughter anymore?
