I don't know what else to do. (2nd Grade)

After 25 years of teaching, I feel defeated. I'm in a new school this year, so I get getting the "new guy" treatment. I've never been really good at the discipline thing, and the kids are taking advantage. I've asked for help from support staff, Admin, colleagues. I've made posters, I've given out stickers, and everyone is still rude and mean. I don't know what to do. I've written conferences, and some of the parents are supportive, but no one does anything at home. I'm about to cry for the third time today, and we've only been in school for 15 days. <br><br>My kids can't take a damn pencil, they fight over it. They call me stupid and jackass. They are mean to each other. I've written to the territorial education board, no one cares. I feel like I should just fold up shop and go home.<br><br>We've never been like this. I've never had these problems. I don't know what to do.
