Single bug crawling on floor, I'm freaking out

Panic mode. I found a single bug in my room. His back is red, he's green and he's got some weird ass black markings. I've never seen anything like it. I'm in the US. New York to be exact. I'm panicking thinking they're back. What can I do? How do I get rid of him? I have an appointment with my therapist in 30 minutes and cannot wait to tell them about these demons. I'll post a pic of this fucker in a minute.
