Google and Microsoft aren't going to be like "okay here you go, a million dollars' worth of computing power + state of the art models" just because. That's reserved for people in high up positions. You're gonna have to get a lot more "creative" if you want all that computing power.<br><br>- If we do get AGI and don't get early access to it, you're probably fucked. If a few rich and well connected people get AGI before the general population, bad things are gonna happen. They're going to take it for themselves and leave the general population with even less than we have now. Chances are, they're going to use it to make themselves a lot richer while the middle class turns into a third world country. So why not spend a little bit of money to make your life a little bit better? Why not buy some things that'll put a smile on your face? Why not just enjoy the time you have left on this planet?
