Anyone else feel like if advanced AI, or a general AI comes out, they will keep it in house working on ONLY military applications?

This is just a bit of a tangent from my other post about how, if an advanced AI, or general AI comes out, I can totally see the government having companies force their people to sign agreements not to talk to the press, and if one person breaks that, then the government will take over the companies. But when it comes to the development that is actually happening, they will be working on military applications first, before anything public is released, or before a mass release to the public happens. They would only release this general AI or advanced AI to the public to help beef up the war machine, or to develop strategic plans and to help the logistics in a war, or help with war planning, and force their people working on the project, to do all their work on government working servers. So the government, gets to use it first, and if it gets leaked to a specific company, they would have to be able to demonstrate that the information was leaked without any influence of government, or the company could be charged with espionage, and the government could then take over that company.

So basically, when it comes out, the government will have the absolute drop on working with it, and then one by one, companies would get access to it, to develop different applications with it for the public, and then regular people, but, if anyone of these companies, wanted to do anything else with it, like, for instance, develop a generative AI that replaces news media, as a way to manipulate the public, they would be met with extreme force working against them, or if one of these companies, wanted to do anything malicious, they would be charged with crimes against humanity.

Of course, this is just my opinion, or one of many scenarios that I personally feel is possible.
