This isn't an endorsement of Joe Biden or the Democratic Party. Just an observation that Biden's administration is the most consistently hostile administration since the Eisenhower administration. It's a fact that the Biden administration hasn't lifted a single Trump-era restriction on Cuba, and has in some cases added new ones. This is a 180 from Obama's attempts to normalize relations and relax restrictions on Cuba. Biden not lifting restrictions is even more unique given the global situation, it's clear that oil drilling and extraction is going to be a major part of the global economy for the foreseeable future. The Trump-era restrictions mean that Cuba can't drill its own oil and is forced to rely on Venezuela to get oil. This of course makes Cuba vulnerable to US interference in the Venezuelan government. Biden has also become the first president since the Bush administration to keep the US embassy in Havana closed. There hasn't been a US ambassador to Cuba since 1960. Biden hasn't even given a reason why the embassy is still closed. Biden's administration has also taken a hard line on Cuban migration, with Biden's administration sending asylum seekers back to Cuba at a rate that's 100 times higher than the Trump-administration. This is a big deal given the large number of asylum seekers that are coming from Cuba. Biden's administration has also taken a hard line against asylum seekers in general, but Cubans seem to be receiving extra scrutiny given the large number of asylum seekers coming from Cuba. Biden's administration has also removed a number of Cuban migration programs, including the Cuban Family Reunification Parole program, as well as the Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) program which allows Cubans to live in the US and work while they wait for their asylum claims to be processed. This means that Cubans are being deported at a higher rate than before given that they don't have a safe way to enter the US to apply for asylum. Biden's administration has also announced that it's considering banning commercial flights to Cuba. This would be an unprecedented move given the large number of Cuban Americans that live in Florida and regularly travel to Cuba. It would also be the first time that the US has banned flights to Cuba since the 1960s. Finally, the Biden administration has said that it's considering banning remittances to Cuba. This would be a big deal given that remittances make up a large percentage of Cuba's economy. This would be the first time that the US has banned remittances to Cuba since the Bush administration. Overall, the Biden administration has taken a hard line against Cuba, especially compared to other Democratic administrations.

Edit: Just to clarify, my view is that the Biden administration is the most consistently hostile administration since the Eisenhower administration. Not that Biden's administration is worse than Trump's administration.
