Does anyone else find it bizarre that men are so fixated on being the ones to "lose their virginity" first?

I've obviously never been a guy but from what I've seen from redpill and my male friends the're the ones that seem to want to lose their virginity first. And I dont get it - surely it shouldnt matter who "gets" to sleep with who first?
