Why are Americans such tax Evaders

Not a rant , just wondering what is it about taxation that a large percentage of people seem to avoid it at all costs , so much so that tax authorities have to lean on them so heavily to pay up , or they may never pay up.<br><br>Take the famous case of billionaire Martin Shkreli ,nearly 7.5 Billion $ tax bill , he never paid up , but the law leans on him so heavily that even when he made 8.4Billion he still ended up broke and destitute. <br><br>In contrast Germans are known to be diligent in paying their taxes ,and tax authorities do not have to lean on them so heavily to pay up.
