Is it only me who doesn't really care about this us vs them mentality that the US government and media tries to push?

I'm not American, I'm from Europe. But still it feels like this us (something like freedom or something similar) vs them (dictators) mentality is very present where I live too. I think the reason for that is that America has a very big influence around the whole world.

I don't really care if a country is a dictatorship or not. For me it's more important what a country is doing towards other countries. I also don't care if a country is religious or not, I also couldn't care less whether a country is capitalist or communist.

This "we are the good ones, they are the bad ones" mentality is showing itself in many other areas. It's like the US government doesn't want to let its citizens think for themselves.

I don't like dictatorships, but for me the US is currently doing more harm around the world then for example autocractic countries like Turkey or Saudi Arabia. Yet the narrative I hear is that they are the "bad" ones and the US is the "good" one.

We as humans should be grown enough to be able to decide for ourselves what is good or bad and how a country is. We should stop being misled into thinking that there is only good or evil.
