i feel like people are misdirecting their anger by making this sub about the recent chambers update. it wont do anything to change the outcome of stuff we dont like

i think we as a community are very vocal about stuff we dislike and truly want to make chambers better in our own way, but we are not doing a good job of representing our community on a larger scale.<br><br>i think we should accept that chambers will never be a free speech platform but we can still make chambers better if we demanded better content. better content would bring in better people which uses the platform more which would bring in more revenue to the company. we would be able to get better quality moderators who are more invested in their community if there was better content to moderate.<br><br>we should be encouraging our fellow redditors to make better content and make the platform a better place to be, its not gonna be a free speech haven but we could turn it into something good.<br><br>i know that this would require a lot of effort, but with our collective effort we can build something beautiful. not necessarily better than the way it was before but something greater than it is now.<br><br>its a long shot, but it wouldnt hurt to try.
