I can be on my phone for hours and no matter where I go or what I do in the app, the first thing that I do on the app will have a notification in the notification center on my phone as soon as I wake it up.

Even if the app was closed, it always seems like the first thing that I do on the app will be the thing that keeps the app notification center on my phone and it seems as if my phone is just a surveillance device that can be used to track my internet history on any app in real time.

It can be anything from liking someone's Instagram post, liking a comment on an Instagram post, liking a tweet, watching an Instagram story, making a comment, making an edit on an Instagram post and then saving the post as a draft, as long as I don't look at anything else on the app, it seems like my phone is flagged by the app and flagged on my phone so that the app and the app developers know that I have been using their app and watching their ads.

I always notice this on Instagram but I've noticed it on other apps too.

It seems as if social media is just a surveillance device that can be used to track internet history on a person's phone in real time and that Facebook is able to track anything and everything that a person does on Instagram.
