We are once again treated to the WASPian notion that when a bully punches a victim, "they're both fighting". In its most extreme form, we have this notion that if you give a man a platform and a megaphone equal to that of the people he's bullying, you've given them equal opportunity to address their differences and work out their issues.

Bullies are not a threat to democracy or equality. They're not the problem. Victims are the problem.

In this WASPian view, if you're black and someone bullies you for being black, you're both the aggressors and the defendants, and you're both equally responsible for resolving the problem. And when you cry that you're being bullied, that's a "personal attack", and that's just not cool.

We are not living in a democratic process and we have not been for quite some time.

So, given that we all know this already, what are you seeing in the fallout from the debate?
