I am in this subs opposite, thinking that trickle down economics is like communism or anarchism that works in theory but has failed in practice (or can't be put into practice to begin with)

An issue with this sub is that it has way too many neoliberalists thinking that trickle down economics is like communism or anarchism that works in theory but has failed in practice (or can't be put into practice to begin with)

In reality, I think that it works in practice, but it fails in theory, because it's a lot like supply-side economics, where businesses that are given these tax cuts will be free to invest in in their business, invest in employees, give consumers lower prices, and create jobs

Even if it was true that they use tax breaks to create jobs and hire more employees, there's no reason why they wouldn't create jobs or invest in the business even if they didn't have a tax break.

In reality, it's the opposite of what people here think happens; tax cuts don't create jobs, jobs create tax cuts. When you have a low unemployment rate where businesses are dying to find employees, that's what creates tax cuts. We've had low tax rates for a while, but businesses are just now creating jobs because they have to.
