Lizards in the trees outside my apartment.

I had just woken up and was going outside for some fresh air. I've always loved looking at the trees. So I looked up at the big tree that stands across the street from my apartment. I could have sworn I saw a lizard sitting in the branches. Like a lizard you would find on the ground or in a terrarium. It had its feet gripped on the branch and was chillin like it was basking in the sun or something. I was smoking a cigarette so I finished it and went back inside thinking maybe I was seeing things and the morning grogginess hadn't wore off yet. Later I'm in my apartment when I hear my cat scratching at the screen on the balcony. I look to see what the fuss is about and lo and behold there is ANOTHER lizard on the outside of my screen! I know it's probably impossible for lizards to be just chillin in the trees. Any thoughts on this weird sighting?
