New to guns, need some advice on my first purchase

I recently got my PAL and I'm looking to purchase my first firearm. It's my intention to get a handgun, and I'd like to go with a 9mm to start with, mostly because it's the most common caliber and ammunition for it is readily available.

I've gone to a few stores and held some sample models, and I think I've found a nice one.

The Smith and Wesson M&P for 401$, which appears to be a fairly reasonable price according to the gunbot.

However, still being relatively new to this, I'm seeking a little bit of advice before I proceed.

I'm not sure if it's in my best interest to purchase the bare gun, or if I should grab the full package including the holster, a gun vault, and the extra mags. The package is a bit more expensive, at 640$, but it looks like a good deal.

I know I'll eventually need to get a gun safe to store it, but I don't need to get it THAT soon, so I have time to save up for it.

That being said, if somebody is fine with it, I'd be happy to purchase a good condition used safe for a fair price, or purchase a new one if it's not THAT expensive.

The main issue I have is not having a gun vault to store it securely in and not having a holster to carry it with, so I'd need to get those soon.

What I'm trying to find out is if there's a way to get a good gun vault and holster in one package, or if I should save money and buy the gun for now then get the rest of the equipment later.

I'll need to go back to the store in a few days to purchase the gun, so I have time to do a bit of research, but any advice I can get on this would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Thank you all for the replies. It looks like it's worth going with the full package.
