#DeportWhatNow: Sanctuary Cities

In honor of our new president and all the chaos he has caused in the last 50 hours or so, I've decided to start a series of posts that highlight what makes this country actually **great** so that we can prevent it from being deported. With your president's track record, we need to take all the precautions necessary to keep this country out of harm's way.

Sanctuary cities are cities in the US that provide a safe space for undocumented immigrants to live without the threat of being deported. There are roughly 300 of them, they make up quite a large percentage of "largest cities" or "biggest cities" in this country. Essentially, sanctuary cities allow undocumented immigrants to not be scared to turn themselves in for reporting crimes. It also allows them not to be scared of being deported and separated from their families if they happen to end up in the hands of authorities.

What politicians don't seem to understand, and what you guys sure as hell don't understand, is that you cannot deport all undocumented immigrants. There are 11 million of them. You cannot possibly think you have the power to deport all of them. You cannot possibly think you have the power to deport all of them and not fuck with the economy because you don't have the money to deport them. This isn't a game of Red Dead Revolver, you cannot just "deport 'em all."

This is a game of "how can we better the lives of human beings around us while also protecting the safety and welfare of the citizens of this country."

Yes, there are undocumented immigrants who committed crimes and are felons. However, you can't possibly think that every undocumented immigrant is a bad person. Six out of ten undocumented immigrants have been in the United States for ten years or longer. There are entire generations of people in this country that were born to undocumented immigrants. There are entire generations of people in this country who are undocumented immigrants. Many undocumented immigrants have kids who are American citizens. The land of the free and the home of the brave is so brave that they would threaten to break up families and deport parents who have lived in this country for ten years or more, who have kids who are actually American citizens. **How can you call yourself pro-life and be pro deporting undocumented immigrants?**

This is all I have to say about this. I hope all of you guys spend the rest of your day spreading love and not hate, because that's what the world needs right now.
