They buy more products. Customers now have an incentive to buy with a discounted gift card.<br><br>2. They aren't buying a gift card from the manufacturer. A gift card buys more than one product, so they will want you to buy more from Manufacturer A and B and C/D, in order to use up the gift card. This is a problem, as the customers using the gift cards could be buying only from one of your competitors.<br><br>3. You get cash for it: If the customer buys a gift card, they can use it at all of your competitors as well, to buy their products, not just you. If they then use it at your competitor, they aren't taking up a gift card slot in their wallet for your products. If they use it with your competitor, you just lost a sale, to your competitor, because the customer used a gift card, instead of buying it at full MSRP.<br><br><br>Why this matters and what to do: <br>1. We only work with 2 manufacturers, so if we choose to represent you, you will likely be the only manufacturer we represent. <br><br> <br><br><br>2. Customer who uses a gift card, in place of MSRP, will have to buy more products from you, to use up their gift card to 0. If they use the gift card to buy from a competitor, you just lost a sale and that slot in their wallet is gone.
