Could I be a teacher?

I am considering training as a teacher but I'm looking for some honest opinions on whether or not I'd be a good fit.

I'm 27 years old, and I have recently completed a bsc in psychology. I am currently doing an Msc by research in developmental, and my research is on the effects of covid on adolescents' development.

If I were to train as a teacher I'd hope to specialise in history, as that is the subject that I am most passionate about. I am planning to take an SCITT course in 2025.

I'm worried that my bachelors and masters aren't in a relevant subject to history, and therefore I may struggle with the academic side of history. Another worry of mine is that I have dyslexia, and as a result I really struggle with grammar and spelling. In my current studies this hasn't been an issue as I've been able to use grammarly to help, but I understand that as a teacher, I would be under more scrutiny and may require later deadlines as a result.

I'd love some advice on whether or not I'd be able to thrive as a teacher, and whether it's as hard as everyone makes it out to be.
