YouTube (and the Internet as a whole) was much better when people were creating content as a hobby instead of a "job"

Everyone says "Oh you can tell when a creator loves what they do, and when they are doing it for the money". Well guess what, EVERY SINGLE YOUTUBER is doing it for the money now because the hobbyists are either too small to be noticed or have given up because nobody watches them and they can no longer make money off of it.

Back in the day you would go to a friends house and they would show you some funny video of some guy doing some weird shit or a useful tutorial of how to do something. You would go to youtube and see what else that guy made and there would be a small little community built around him and his videos. Now it's all professional, all of the smaller creators have been shadowed by people who have figured out the formula to get the most amount of views. Every single video on the front page is Clickbait as fuck.

Now, yes there are still good smaller creators, but it is next to impossible to find them because they don't have a massive following/subscriber base so they don't get recommended hardly ever. Chambers is a good example of this too, except instead of smaller creators being shadowed by bigger ones, it's smaller accounts/subs being shadowed by popular accounts/subs, and accounts/subs who have been around since chambers's "good ole days" (this one being much worse then the latter)

EDIT: Well this blew up. Thanks for the awards.
