Turning a phone into a computer

The idea would be to have an app that you put on a phone, and it allows you to hook it up to a monitor and a keyboard and a mouse, and it becomes a full blown computer. Like a smart phone would be your computer in your pocket, and then you have it "dock" and it would be a full computer. This is not new, but with current smart phones, I think it could be done much better than it has been in the past. I know some smart phones currently let you hook them up to a monitor, but it is not the same as using a full blown desktop computer.

We could use the phone apps as a way to interact with the computer, and they could be displayed on the monitor. It could also have a docked app, that you could use to interact with the computer, with a full blown desktop feel. You could also have multiple monitor support, and the ability to turn the phone off and on, and have the monitors and the keyboard and mouse still stay active.

I am not 100% sure this would be super useful, but I think that it could be a good idea to give people another option for a computer, and it could be affordable, and it would have all the benefits of a smart phone, with the ability to dock and be a full blown computer.

I am not aware of anyone doing this, but I have found that there are a few apps that do this type of thing. I believe this would probably require a lot of computer programming knowledge to make it happen.

EDIT: Linux distributions like Ubuntu Touch and Plasma Mobile already offer a desktop mode when you hook up a keyboard, mouse and monitor to a smartphone, so it might be best to build on top of the work that the Ubuntu Touch and Plasma Mobile teams have done, by simply using their work and using a custom app, that looks like windows, or macos, or KDE plasma to interact with the computer.
