I just want to see black people doing stuff

It’s been very clear to me for a while now that a lot of white people feel uncomfortable when they see black people doing normal stuff. This is particularly true in suburban/rural areas. Today I was waiting at a bus stop, trying to get home, and I saw 2 little white girls staring at me from across the street. I waved at them and they quickly looked away. I just smiled and went on my way. It’s so utterly childish to me how people can view me as a villain. I think it’s funny that white people feel superior to black people despite us being the people who built pyramids, and this country. What I like about living in my neighborhood is that my neighbors and I view each other as people. We wave at each other, borrow sugar from each other, and just live our lives. I wish I could help white people realize that we’re human. We have the same needs as they do. I know that it’s not my job to change people’s perspectives, but I feel trapped in my hometown. I’m not sure if I should stay and try to change things, or just move somewhere else.
