What if the Americas, Australia, and Oceania didn't exist?

First off, let me preface that this thread will be a series of questions aiming to understand the hypothetical world. I've tried my best to eliminate the aspects of modern society to form these questions, which are mostly based on history, science, and culture. As you know, Oceania and the Americas have been home to a large number of indigenous peoples. When the Europeans discovered these lands, it shaped the history and future of these lands forever, leading to modern-day America, Canada, Australia, and many more countries. But what if the Americas, Australia, Oceania didn't exist? How would history have unfolded? These are the questions I'll be discussing and would like you folks to help me understand how the world would have changed if these lands hadn't existed or were landlocked. Let's dive into it.

**Question 1: What would the world map look like?**
This is the first and probably the most obvious question. What would the world map be like, if the Americas didn't exist? I'm not talking about alternate versions of these lands, just what the map would be like.Would Africa and the Middle East be connected? Would the Atlantic Ocean have been smaller or bigger? How would it change? Also, how would the landmasses like the Caribbean islands look? They're a series of islands that are an extension of the Americas. Some Caribbean islands belong to South America, others North America. Would these islands be connected to other landmasses? If so, which ones? And how would that change? What about Australia? Would it be connected to Oceania? Would Oceania be a single landmass? Would Australia be a part of Asia? I think these are some very good things to consider.

**Question 2: How would trade, exploration, and colonization be affected?**
So, assuming the world map is different, trade, exploration, and colonization would definitely be different. The Europeans were often obsessed with expanding their territory, and trade was very important to them. Without the Americas, it seems possible that they would be fighting over their own territory more often. Which leads to the question of World Wars. Would the same wars have occurred, or would they have been fought over different lands? Also, it's important to consider how the Europeans would have treated their own indigenous people. How would they have treated the indigenous people of Europe, or the Middle East?Would they have committed acts of genocide, or would they have been more accepting of these peoples? Also, how would the trade routes have changed? Would they have used the seas, or would they have used land routes?

**Question 3: How would culture and history have developed?**
So, let's look at the broader picture of how culture and history would have developed. For example, the ancient Egyptians, the Roman Empire, the Mongols, etc. So many cultures were affected by the discovery of the Americas. How would the history of these cultures have unfolded? Would Christianity have spread to the Middle East or Africa if the Americas didn't exist? Probably, but that's not the point. How would these cultures have developed if they didn't have the pressure and competition of the Americas? The same question applies to the founding of the Americas. Would it have been different if the Europeans were not fighting over lands in Europe? How would it have changed the history of the lands they colonized? So many questions, so few answers. Help me discuss this.

**Question 4: How would modern-day society and technology be affected?**
How would the world be if the Americas didn't exist? Would we still have the same technology, the same societal norms, the same ideologies? Would communism exist? Would capitalism exist? Would we still have the World Wars? Would we still have a World Cup?Would we still have soccer? Would we still have the Olympics? So many questions, so few answers. Would we have developed different sports? Would we have developed different music, different arts, different forms of entertainment? Would we still have the same forms of government? Would we still have democracies, authoritarian regimes, monarchies? Would we still have the same social and political ideologies?Would we still have the same rights and freedoms?

**Question 5: How would the environment have been affected?**
Finally, let's talk about the environment. How would the environment have been affected if the Americas didn't exist? Would we still have the same climate change? Would we still have the same air pollution? Would we still have the same water pollution? Would we still have the same environmental disasters?Would we still have the same natural disasters? Would we still have the same earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, droughts, tsunamis?Would we still have the same weather patterns? Would we still have the same climates? I think these are very interesting questions to consider, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.

In conclusion, these are just a few of the many questions that can be asked about a world where the Americas, Australia, and Oceania don't exist. I think these questions are very interesting to consider, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.
