Once you've had a person shatter your windshield you'll know what I'm talking about lol.

So we all know the old stories about been in the car and a vehicle hits you and speeds away. The old advice is to write down the license plate number of the "other car" and use that to track the person down.

It's ridiculous.

I was in the car my entire life and never had to do that. Then a few years ago, a guy tapped the bumper of my car with his and scratched it. I told him he hit my car and he said he didn't. That really annoyed me because he tried to outsmart me and I was right there the whole time.

He took off and I walked into a police station and gave the license plate number to the police and they gave me the name and address of the person.

Now comes my app idea.

I want an app that you can see all the license plates around you. So instead of writing the plate number down, you click the license plate and own it. Forever.

Then if the person scratches your car and drives off, you can go look for a license plate of the person. If you find it, you click on it and it will show you the name and address of the person.

But that's only one feature.

The main feature is if somebody breaks into your house and steals your stuff then you need to report it to the police. Then you get a police report number. By clicking on that license plate in the app, you're also adding the plate to your "hot plate list." Then if that specific car comes into your vicinity you'll get a notification on your phone saying you have a "hot plate" nearby.

But that's not all. Each license plate is connected to the location it is in. So if you were at your house and it's 9pm on a Tuesday then your phone is at your house. If a car is in your driveway and you click its plate, then it's connected to your location.

Then if the "hot plate" shows up in the same location you previously put it, it will send you a notification saying you have a "hot plate" in a familiar location. Maybe a week or two later they come back to your house to steal your stuff again. You won't know they're in your neighborhood but you'll know when they pull into your driveway.

I'm 100% sure this is illegal but I want it lol.
