What should I do if I'm faced with an impossible decision?

If I'm in a situation where I face an impossible decision, whether it be because I'm faced with two moral imperatives that are not fully compatible, or because I face a moral imperative and a prudential imperative that are not fully compatible, what should I do? How should I handle that situation?
