How would a stable planetary government work in a universe where advanced technology (AI, nanotechnology, fusion, biotechnology) has solved all material problems?

The idea is that with advanced technologies, resources are essentially unlimited. Malthusian growth limits are obviated through the use of solar energy and space-based resources like asteroids. And Malthusian limits on land are obviated through climate engineering, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and the ability to terraform other planets. Robotics and AI do all the work, so there is no question of scarcity and who gets what, there is infinite stuff for everyone, and everyone is king of their own castle. <br><br>So the question is, what kind of system of government would work best to organize society globally? Because there's no question of money, resources, or growth, the system should be based on something other than economics. It would also have to be generally separate from questions of individual identity or ideology associated with traditional politics.
