I'm glad my parents died before they could see what the world has become

I'm a woman in her 50s, very conservative and traditionally-minded. My parents passed away at the beginning of this decade, and I'm so, *so* glad they did. Had they lived to see what this shithole has become now, they would've never stopped crying. And I would've never stopped hearing about it.
