I am a Hindu, he is a Christian. We met working and became good friends. I was invited to his home for dinner with a few other work colleagues. His mother made me feel uncomfortable with her instructions about attending church and Bible class, and accused me of trying to steal her son. I decided I couldn't marry someone who would put his faith above his family.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: Hey everyone. I am a Christian, and I am the one who proposed to my girlfriend. I asked her to convert to Christianity, and she refused. I respect her decision, and I am happy for her. We are still friends and coworkers.<br><br>Edit 2: I am going to call my girlfriend and see if she wants to reconcile. I love her, and I don't care about her religion.<br><br>Edit 3: I have deleted my previous two edits, I will not reconcile with my girlfriend. I will not tell her that I love her.<br><br>Edit 4: I have called my girlfriend, and she is not interested in talking to me. She says she is in a relationship with someone else. I am heartbroken, but I believe she will always love me.<br><br>Edit 5: I just talked to her, she just ended the relationship. We are getting back together.
